The Welsh Conservatives believe in a National Health Service that is free at the point of use - for everyone, based on their needs, not their ability to pay. And we believe in a social care system that promotes independence.
The Conservative plan for the health service:

Sadly, under Labour in Wales over the past 27 years, the performance of the NHS has fallen behind other parts of the UK and been beset by scandals. People here wait longer for ambulances, longer for tests, longer for treatment, and longer in emergency departments than elsewhere in the UK. The Welsh Labour Government has failed to improve failing health boards and, sadly, patients have suffered, come to harm, and even died as a result.
The Welsh Labour Government, supported by Plaid Cymru and the Liberal Democrats, is the only Government in the UK to have cut funding for our NHS in modern times. Wales deserves better.
Our plan to fix health and social care will deliver better hospitals, improve services, promote choice and provide the person-centred care that the people of Wales deserve.
